Crisis and Resilience Fund

Help if you're facing a financial crisis.

A Crisis Payment is short‑term financial support to help people who       are struggling to pay for essential living costs because of a sudden or       unexpected financial difficulty.

Crisis Payments are funded by the UK government through the          

Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF) and are delivered by Wiltshire Council.

They provide immediate help in a crisis and may also helping people     

access longer‑term support where needed.

Support for households using oil heating
Immediate support (interim arrangements):

Wiltshire Council has been awarded an extra £783,725 via the CRF       specifically for supporting households reliant on oil heating.

Wiltshire Council is working with Centre for Sustainable Energy to set up a dedicated financial support offer for oil heated households on a low income.        

By signing up to SSEN’s free Priority Services Register you can access extra   support during a power cut. SSEN’s free Priority Services Register supports those with chronic illnesses, mental health, young children and more. The dedicated Priority Services line is available 24 hours a day.

Priority Services is designed for customers with additional needs who may need extra help. By signing up for free you can choose which services you would like to receive.

If you also need support paying your bills, Wessex Water may be able to help through one of their help-to-pay schemes.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue offer free home safety visits. You can book a visit here.

The Parish Council are keen to help everyone in the village 

to be trained in basic life support (CPR). We can arrange 

sessions with the Wiltshire Ambulance Service and would 

like to know when the sessions would be most valuable.

if you would like to book a session for your friends and neighbours. 

The link below takes you to The British Heart Foundation RevivR 

training which can teach the basics in 15 minutes.

 

Restart a Heart (RSAH) is an annual initiative led by Resuscitation 

Council UK which aims to increase the number of people surviving 

out-of-hospital cardiac arrests by helping more people learn CPR. 

There will be Restart a Heart events happening throughout October, 

and on Restart a Heart day on 16 October. Restart a Heart                 encourages everyone to become ready for the ultimate medical     emergency by learning the steps to CPR and how to use a defibrillator.
